Call of Duty Survey Offers Clues About Potential Plot for Live-Action Movie

A new survey from Call of Duty is reportedly seeking input from fans about what they would like to see in the franchise's upcoming live-action movie.
The long-awaited adaptation was officially announced earlier this month, with Activision, the publisher, now seemingly offering hints about potential story details. The survey is asking whether fans prefer an existing subseries, such as Modern Warfare or Black Ops, to be adapted for the big screen, or if they'd prefer a completely new storyline.

After dominating the gaming industry for over two decades, fans have often called for an adaptation of the Call of Duty franchise into a TV show or live-action film.
Although previous attempts to bring the IP to the big screen had failed, Activision confirmed earlier this month that it would be partnering with Paramount to make a Call of Duty movie. Details such as the plot, director, cast, and release date remain unknown, suggesting the film is still far from being ready for a theatrical release. However, with the project now officially in motion, Activision is gathering fan opinions through a new survey.

Call of Duty Survey Asks Fans About Live-Action Movie Direction

Following the recent announcement, fans have been asking whether the upcoming live-action adaptation will focus on an existing storyline, such as Modern Warfare or Black Ops, or if it will take a different approach with an entirely new plot and characters.
Despite the details still being unclear, a recent survey (via Detonated) has revealed that Activision and Paramount are exploring all options. The latest Recon Survey reportedly asks fans if they'd prefer the film to be inspired by Black Ops, Modern Warfare, or perhaps the Zombies mode, or if they’d like it to focus on a separate title, such as Ghosts or Advanced Warfare, or to be a completely original story.
