Rumor: Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Leak Shows Big Plans After Release

A new leak about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 suggests that Treyarch, the game's developer, has big plans after the game comes out.
If this is true, players might have a lot of content to look forward to during the first few months of the game.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Open Beta Rewards
It was a bit unexpected to see Call of Duty release two Black Ops games in a row after Black Ops 6 came out last year.
This follows a recent trend with the back-to-back releases of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 in 2022 and 2023. In the past, the series usually gave each subseries a break of a year or more before returning. But that pattern has changed. Still, there are a lot of fans who are excited to see what Treyarch has in store for Black Ops 7.

Black Ops 7 Could Have a Lot of Content in Seasons 1 to 4
A leak from a trusted insider, TheGhostOfHope on X, claims that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's first four seasons will have more content than usual.
This is said to help the game slow down a bit before marketing for Call of Duty 2026 starts. TheGhostOfHope says this is because Black Ops 6 is holding some post-launch content back for Black Ops 7.

They also mention that Treyarch and Raven Software are being told to "leave nothing on the table for Black Ops 7 and Warzone" because the engine upgrade for MW4, which is expected to be a major change, will require those assets to be completely reworked.
In a later post, TheGhostOfHope says the added content will include all of Black Ops 7's game modes, not just the usual multiplayer ones.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Trailer Dislikes Milestone
If TheGhostOfHope's information is accurate, this has exciting implications for Call of Duty 2026, which they describe as "a big upgrade... like UE4 to UE5."
They also say the future game will no longer support Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. However, that's still far away. For now, fans are still learning more about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is set to launch on November 14, 2025.
