These are the new Google Photos and Maps icons with a gradient redesign

Google is changing its logos to show it's moving into the AI era. The company has already updated the G and Gemini icons, and now it's sharing a look at the new gradient designs for Google Photos and Maps. The new Google Maps icon is still a pin, but it's been made thinner and more modern. The inner circle is now bigger, and the diagonal blue sections have been removed. This change reflects how Gemini is used in place listings.

The Google Photos icon keeps the same shape, but it now has a gradient that starts from the center and moves outward. When enlarged, the inner part looks a bit transparent, but it should still work well as a small app icon on your home screen.

Google Photos has features like Remix, photo-to-video (Veo) creation, conversational editing, and Gemini-powered "Ask Photos." Nano Banana is also coming to Google Photos.It's not clear when these new icons will launch, but it could be soon, especially since many AI features are already available.
